Grand County Colorado Tourism Board Concludes 2023 on a High Note

“Granting over $600,000 in Grants to Countywide Non-Profit Organizations for Marketing and Advertising.”

Granby, CO…In a remarkable end to the year, the Grand County Colorado Tourism Board announces the allocation of over $600,000 in grants to non-profit organizations across Grand County. The grants are dedicated to marketing and advertising efforts for events and programs.

Distinguished awardees include entities such as the Grand Lake, Winter Park and Fraser, Hot Sulphur Springs and Kremmling Chambers of Commerce, the Grand County Blues Society, Headwaters Trails Alliance, Kowtown Gravel Race, Middle Park Fair and Rodeo, Rocky Mountain Repertory Theatre, Grand Lake Trail Grooming, Colorado Headwaters Land Trust, Winter Park Horseman’s Association, and Destination Granby.

These grants are tailored specifically for non-profit tourism-related organizations based within Grand County. They are designed to advance current or new marketing programs or events. Disbursed every quarter, the upcoming grant deadline is December 15, 2023.

The Grand County Colorado Tourism Board (GCCTB) operates as a non-profit organization with 12 volunteer Board representatives appointed by the Grand County Board of Commissioners. The Board functions through funds generated by the Lodging Tax of 1.8%, paid by visitors staying in lodging properties and short-term rentals, excluding the town of Winter Park. The primary objective of GCCTB is to inspire a sustainable, year-round tourism economy in Grand County, emphasizing strengthening the vitality of our communities, celebrating the local culture and traditions, and respecting our environment and resources.
