Grand County Colorado Tourism Board Appoints Gaylene Ore as Executive Director

GRAND COUNTY, Colo.— The Grand County Colorado Tourism Board is pleased to announce that Gaylene Ore has been appointed as Executive Director after serving as the interim executive director for the first half of 2024. As the owner of Ore Communications, the Grand County-based travel and tourism public relations firm handling the GCCTB public relations efforts for 25 years, Gaylene brings more than 30 years of expertise in public relations, branding and strategic marketing to the role.
Additionally, Gaylene was a Grand County Colorado Tourism Board member from 1995-1998. She also produces the 970 Grand County podcast, featuring insightful and personable interviews with various local business owners and community leaders.
In addition to working alongside a 12-member volunteer board, the executive director is responsible for managing budgets and grant allocations, attending tourism-focused trade shows and conferences, and overseeing marketing, social media and public relations contracts, ensuring all agreements align with and support the board's mission and vision.

The Board of County Commissioners approved Gaylene’s contract which will continue through the end of 2027.
