Join mosaic artist Brenda Fraser for a conversation about making art and finding healing using things many people throw away.
Brenda assembles mosaics from vintage jewelry and found objects as a way to honor matrilineal lineage. Her work draws on the natural world, the American West, and a deep conviction that beauty and wholeness can emerge from broken things—discarded and overlooked objects that still carry memory, energy, and meaning.
Brenda will share her background and creative journey, walk participants through her process, and reflect on her time in residence at Shadowcliff. She will bring samples of her work.
This talk is part of Shadowcliffs 2026 Still Point Sessions residencies, bringing artists to the mountains for a week of creative work in Grand Lake.
2026 Still Point Sessions residencies have been supported, in part, by a grant from the Town of Grand Lake Donor Advised Fund.
