Colorado Adventure Park
Location: 566 County Road 721, Fraser
With its groomed runs, tow rope and free sleds for kids three and under, this Fraser facility can keep a whole family entertained for hours. When the weather gets cold, take everyone to Colorado Adventure Park, where they can plop into a tube and whizz down family-friendly hills. Plus, the kids will love the park’s fleet of snowscoots — miniature, speed-controlled snowmobiles which are rentable by the hour for a trip along an easy trail in a nearby meadow.
Coca-Cola Tubing Hill at Winter Park Resort
Location: Winter Park Resort, 85 Parsenn Road, Winter Park
Located at the base of award-winning Winter Park Resort, the Coca-Cola Tube Hill combines four lanes of action (imagine banked turns and other fun features), as well as a covered conveyor lift ride to maximize the number of runs.Since it’s located at the base of a legendary ski resort (seasoned skiers flock to the Mary Jane side for its moguls), this spot is perfect for groups with skiers and non-skiers.
The Original Fraser Tubing Hill
Location: 455 County Road 72, Fraser
Most mountain towns would love to have a tubing hill with tow-rope access, rentals and concessions. Fraser is lucky enough to have two. The Historic Fraser Tubing Hill is a blast, with a low-key atmosphere and a slope that just might be the perfect pitch for young thrill-seekers. When the sun goes down, stare up at the candy-colored sunset and stay a bit longer for some night tubing. Be sure to call in advance for evening hours.
Snow Mountain Ranch/YMCA Of The Rockies
Location: 1101 County Road 53, Granby
Tubing takes place at Snow Mountain Ranch year round. This spot, part of YMCA of the Rockies, has tons of winter activities, from dog sledding with huskies to Nordic skiing trails and ice skating — all best paired with hot cocoa. In warmer months, the hill stays open for summer tubing, so you can bring the kids back for every season. Plenty of bumps and steep spots will thrill the fam for hours.
Hideaway Park
Location: 78841 US Hwy. 40, Winter Park
For a free sledding option — especially suitable for younger tots — head to the Hideaway Park. The community space is located right in the middle of downtown Winter Park by the amphitheater. They offer free sleds and public bathrooms, so you can stop by for an easy afternoon with the little ones. The hill has a gentle incline so they can fearlessly glide down in their puffy jackets and scarves.

After a long day of tubing in Colorado, you’re going to work up an appetite. So, stop in for some dinner and drinks at one of our local restaurants. Head over to Granby for a bite at Maverick’s Grille, where the chicken-fried steak — covered with crispy panko and served next to fluffy mashed potatoes smothered in creamy gravy — will satiate any sledder.
