Grand County Tourism Grants
The Grand County Colorado Tourism Board (GCCTB) is committed to supporting local projects that enhance our economy, build community resilience, and foster responsible tourism growth. Our grant programs provide financial funding to eligible local businesses, non-profits, and community organizations.
Current Grant Opportunities
Program Focus: Our grant funding is typically prioritized for initiatives that directly impact tourism, such as:
- Enhancing local events and festivals and promoting off-season festivals.
- Improving tourism infrastructure and outdoor recreation assets.
- Projects supporting workforce development in the hospitality sector.
Eligibility: Funds are generally available to non-profits, local businesses, and community organizations located within Grand County, Colorado. Specific criteria apply to each grant cycle.
MARKETING GRANTs
Marketing Grants are awarded to non-profit organizations that are established and proven marketing entities within the county formed for advertising and marketing tourism. Funds distributed through GCCTB may not be used to pay for salaries or capital equipment. The marketing plan needs to support the image of the overall marketing efforts of GCCTB. Visit our Marketing Funding Grant Request Form to fill out the marketing funding grant request form.
SPECIAL EVENTS GRANTs
Special Events Grants are awarded to events that are hosted within Grand County and its municipalities. All events must be open to and/or available to the general public. Contributions from GCCTB funds may not constitute more than half of the funding for a special event. Funds distributed through GCCTB may not be used to pay for salaries or capital equipment. Recurring events will generally receive funding for a maximum of three consecutive years. Grantees must provide a general liability policy covering all of the entity’s operations with a minimum combined single limit amount of not less than one million dollars ($1,000,000.00) for each occurrence. A deductible of not more than $5,000 is required for each special event. This grant is solely used for the marketing of the special event. Visit our Special Events Grant Request Form to fill out the special events grant request form.

Grant Mou Procedures
To keep the grant process running smoothly and ensure timely approval by the County Commissioners, we kindly ask for your prompt attention to the following steps regarding your MOU:
- MOUs are typically sent out the week following the grant meeting.
- Once received, please review the document for accuracy, sign, and return it as soon as possible.
- Be sure to return the entire MOU — not just the signature page.
- If someone other than you should be signing the agreement, please notify us at info@visitgrandcounty.com so we can revise the document accordingly.
- Please note that MOUs must remain unchanged, as they are standardized by the county.
- If your signed MOU is not received within (4 days), your grant request may be deferred to the next grant cycle.
In order to understand the Grand County Colorado Tourism Board MOU requirements, we encourage you to view a sample of the MOU. We appreciate your attention to these details and your partnership in making this process efficient for everyone involved.
Submit a Grant Application
If you want to submit a grant application, you will need to complete either the Marketing Funding Request Form or Special Events Request Form.
In order for an organization to qualify for grant funding, applicants must submit a completed GCCTB grant request form and supporting documents. Completed forms must be turned in by or before the grant deadlines. In addition to the request form, the organization is encouraged to present the grant request to the corresponding district as well. These meetings will be set up by the tourism board’s Executive Director.
