OVERVIEW

Visit the Headwaters Marina to explore Grand Lake by boat on a guided tour or private charter!

Located across from Lakefront Park, just steps from the historic downtown boardwalk, the Headwaters Marina is proudly owned-and-operated by the Town of Grand Lake. The lake itself is most famous for being the largest and deepest natural water body in Colorado, covering more than 500 acres of surface area and plunging more than 300 feet deep. It is fed by the icy-cold headwaters of the Colorado River, which originates about 20 miles north of town in Rocky Mountain National Park.

Lakefront kayak slips are also available for seasonal rentals! Contact Town Hall at (970) 627-3435 for more information.

These one-hour boat rides offer a glimpse of Grand Lake from a comfortable pontoon boat led by an experienced and entertaining skipper. You’ll learn about the history, architecture and geography of the lake and its surrounding structures while basking in the stunning scenery of Rocky Mountain National Park, which surrounds Grand Lake on three sides. Tours are offered at 10:30 a.m., 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. daily. Reservations are required. No dogs allowed.  Adults: $25; Kids 12 and under: $10. Call the marina at (970) 627-5031 to book.
