Grand County is known for its winter activities, from snowmobiling to world-class downhill skiing to ice fishing. This winter, there are some fun and unique events for those spectators and participants.

 

February 4                  6th Annual Grand Lake Pond Hockey Classic

This one-of-a-kind tournament consists of five natural rinks on Grand Lake with four teams, three divisions, and $500 worth of cash and prizes to the champions. The first puck drops at 9 a.m. and runs until the three division champions are announced. This spectator-friendly event is perfect for the family; dogs are welcome.

 

February 11                2nd Annual Fraser Fire & Ice 

New this year, the Colorado Snow Sculpting Championship. Other activities include fireworks, hot chocolate, music, light sticks, and food trucks. The sculptures will start on February 8, with winners announced at the festival.                            

 

February 11-12           Ranch2Ranch XC Ski Trek

Cross-country ski from Snow Mountain Ranch to Granby Ranch on the Snow Mountain Ranch Trails to the Fraser to Granby Trail to the Granby Ranch Trail. This 12K or 24K trek starts from 9-11 a.m. and costs $35 for Grand Nordic Members and $40 for non-members. This fundraising event benefits the youth Nordic skiing in Grand County. March 4                      Kremmling Chamber Casino Night

Kremmling Chamber is celebrating 40 years with a casino night featuring dinner, music, a silent auction, and giveaways. The cost is $50/per person or $75/per couple. For more information: www.kremmlingchamber.com.
