Winter Park, CO — Calling all outdoor enthusiasts who enjoy running and hiking on the beautiful trails in and around Winter Park, CO. The Winter Park & Fraser Chamber in partnership with Winter Park Resort, and The Shining Stars Foundation are pleased to announce the Winter Park Peak-to-Peak Summer Showdown: a running race series. The Winter Park Peak-to-Peak Summer Showdown features 4 running races.
The first race, Double Up Hill Climb, is on June 15 at Winter Park Resort, the second is the Rendezvous Run for Independence 5K on July 4, the third, a 10K at Winter Park Resort called Mid-Summers Night 10K on July 12, and lastly, the Byers Peak Stampede half marathon, produced by the Shining Stars Foundation on August 24.
The series will feature races of varied distances and terrain but all celebrating the natural beauty of the open spaces we love and enjoy. The courses will be challenging to the experienced racer but still enjoyable for the beginner.
Those who complete the entire series will not only earn bragging rights but also be eligible for some epic prizes! Participants must complete three out of four races to qualify for prize(s).
Winter Park Resort, the Winter Park & Fraser Chamber and The Shining Stars Foundation are collaborating to bring four races together. Expect great routes, aid stations along the way and friendly volunteers to cheer you on! Register for all four races and inspire your summer training schedule or choose just one and be part of an exciting new venture. The best part of all is that some of the races raise funds for non-profits that are helping to make positive changes in people’s lives!
