GRANBY, Colo., May 6, 2025 –Colorado’s Arapaho Valley Ranch will stage its Western Weekend Country Music Fest Friday and Saturday, June 20 and 21, 2025 from 4-10 p.m. each day. A Bluegrass Festival is also on the books for July 18-19 and live music on Friday nights throughout the summer.
Arapaho Valley Ranch is a glamping destination located in Grand County at the south end of Lake Granby in the Arapaho National Forest. The ranch is marking its 80th anniversary this year.
Featuring musicians Tyce Delk, Jason Swedlund and the duo Big Paddy, the Country Music Festival will be held adjacent to the ranch’s main lodge. Tickets are $25 (per day?) and can be purchased at the door or in advance by calling 970-238-9728. The entry fee is included for overnight guests of the ranch. The fee includes line dancing lessons at 4 p.m. on Friday.
Hosting overnight guests for eight decades, the guest ranch has a long history of providing musical entertainment, including bluegrass festivals dating back to the 1970s. The ranch has had several owners over the decades, and the current owners embarked in 2021 upon a multi-year series of renovations and upgrades to the ranch’s infrastructure and facilities.
“We are proud to continue Arapaho Valley Ranch’s musical heritage with festivals and live music on the weekends,” said Hayden Hughes, ranch manager.
The ranch is presently lining up bands to perform during the Bluegrass Festival in July.
The ranch features nine cabins – including historic cabins, modern cabins and sustainably built tiny home cabins – that sleep from four to 18 persons and are open year-round. Glamping options available Memorial Day weekend through early October include 19 glamping tents constructed of canvas on raised wooden platforms and featuring private decks, firepits, one or two queen beds and a futon with bedding. The ranch’s three canvas tipis are placed on raised decks and feature a queen bed and two cots with bedding. New this year are two yurts measuring 24 feet in diameter and featuring two queen beds and a full-size futon. The 22 tent sites, most situated right on the banks of the South Fork of the Colorado River, and 12 RV sites, some with hookups, round out the seasonal accommodations.
The heart of the ranch is the main lodge which was built in the early 1900s and renovated multiple times over the years. The lodge has two living rooms, a stone fireplace, billiards room, store and the Red Dog Saloon, affectionately called “Colorado’s Smallest Bar.” Decks and patios include a fire pit and seating areas.
Warm weather recreation activities include fishing, canoeing, stand up paddleboarding, biking, hiking, wildlife watching, yard games, volleyball and a playground. A resort fee covers the use of all the equipment, including canoes, paddle boards, mountain bikes, fishing poles, horseshoes, volleyball, cornhole and ping pong.
