Join a local trail ambassador for FREE guided hikes on the Continental Divide Trail (CDT) in Grand Lake! Did you know that the 3,100-mile CDT travels right through downtown Grand Lake? This popular summer hiking series explores a different CDT trailhead each week and will offer educational insight on the ecology, wildlife and history of the trail.
This year’s theme is “Forests & Flowers”. All hikes are no longer than 5 miles round-trip and are mostly flat (some rolling hills/rocky areas) making them suitable for all ages and experience levels. Advanced registration is required. Max 10 participants. Registration is free.
8:30am – Participants will meet their guide at the Grand Lake Center (301 Marina Drive), where they can use the restroom, fill water bottles and carpool/caravan to a nearby trailhead.
9am-12pm – The hikes will take place roughly from 9:00am-11:00am, then return to the Center at between 11:30am-12pm.
