Come learn the best tips, tricks and tactics for capturing the night sky in photographs. Photographer Cody Swatling has a passion for astro-photography and has successfully documented Grand Lake after dark, including shots of the Milky Way, aurora borealis (Northern Lights), meteor events, moon phases, fireworks and much more.
In honor of International Dark Sky Week in April, he is offering this special workshop on the evening of Thursday, April 23, which will start out with an indoor presentation at the Grand Lake Center (8:30-9 pm). After the classroom portion, participants will carpool to a nearby outdoor location with their cameras and tripods for a hands-on workshop after dark (9-10:30pm). Cost is $125 per person.
