About The Event

Join us as GCLD staff and hiking experts hike to The Broome Hut.  Local "Hutmasters" will share their passion for the Broome Hut's purpose, history, and importance.  The Broome Hut, is part of a vision of linking the Grand County backcountry with a system of eco-friendly huts that can be used year-round for cross country skiing, snowshoeing, hiking, biking, and other non-motorized outdoor pursuits .
The focus will be upon fun and wise use and enjoyment of wilderness and national forest lands.

Registration is required and participants should check with a GCLD library to see what they need to bring along.

Location: "Second Creek" to locals; Trail head location is mile marker 240 on the west side of Berthoud Pass, highway 40.
