The Christmas Eve Torchlight Parade is one of the most beloved Winter Park traditions. Head over to the Village from 1-5pm to see Santa in the gazebo and then hear the carolers wandering at 3:15pm.
The big event begins with Christmas carols around the bonfire at the base, next to the Zephyr Lift, at 4pm. At 5:30pm, a procession of torch-bearing skiers and riders begin their way down Lower Hughes trail, followed by Santa Claus and his merry helpers. A spectacular fireworks display and snowcats adorned with Christmas colors light up the slopes in a Christmas tree formation to conclude the festivities. It gets busy at the base so make sure to get here early for a warm drink and to get a great spot.
Immediately following the show at 6pm, visitors are welcome to attend Christmas Eve non-denominational service located in West Portal. The service is scheduled to last about an hour. After the parade or the non-denominational service enjoy a holiday buffet mountain top at Sunspot Lodge.
